Motor Vehicle Processing

Do you intend to import a motor vehicle/motor cycle? If yes, you must first apply to the Trade Board for an Import Licence and receive same before making arrangements for the shipping of the vehicle to Jamaica.

This is required for the following:

1. Motorcycles
2. Cars
3. Light commercial:
   1. Pick-up
   2. SUV
   3. Station wagons (6 seating and above)
   4. Flat Beds
   5. Mobile homes and offices
   6. Trailers
   7. Mobile heavy equipment.

Prior to importation, the unit must be inspected and issued with a Pre-inspection Certificate from the country of export.
